Design - Gardens Traditional & Contemporary
|
|
Many designs over the past 20 years include master plan &
installation of beautiful traditional gardens on the estate of
Sir
Elton John in Berkshire; topiary for Sir Terence Conran´s Bibendum
restaurant in London; cutting-edge contemporary Thames-side penthouse
terraces for a Russian tycoon.
The company has several design projects on-going in both traditional &
contemporary modes, depending on clients´ tastes.
Do view images of a brilliant glass & stainless steel
Anglo-Indian garden
(with glass waterfall) created in St. John´s Wood for a young couple daring to
commission a contemporary garden, in tune with their interest in collecting modern & contemporary
art.
We have designed gardens & landscapes in Great Britain,
Europe & the United States. (Two projects south of Moscow are
commissioned for 2005).

|
We have written 13 books over 20 years on several major garden
subjects. Most of our books translated into French, German, Italian &
Chinese.
Two major books on contemporary gardens internationally: Gardens for the Future:
Gestures Against the Wild, &
Paradise Transformed: The Private Garden for the 21st Century, now
called the classic on the subject of contemporary modern garden won
Best Garden Book, UK, 1996. It is the basis for an exciting
major international multimedia exhibition, now of interest to the Victoria
& Albert, & Guggenheim Museums.
|
However, the primary work of Cooper & Taylor is to design
& build exciting gardens & landscapes.
